Iowa Board of Regents Sustainability Plan
In 2009, the Iowa Board of Regents approved a Sustainability Plan for all Regent Institutions that identified eight functional areas in which institutions were directed to develop methodologies for implementing, measuring and educating.
The fifth annual Sustainability Progress Reports for Iowa State University, the University of Iowa and the University of Northern Iowa were provided to the Iowa Board of Regents at the June 2014 board meeting. These reports cover the sustainability initiatives and accomplishments of the Regent Institutions during the 2013-14 academic year. For a detailed listing of all of Iowa State University's new sustainability programs and initiatives, as well as new updates and achievements involving ongoing efforts, refer to the ISU Sustainability Report Addendum for 2012-13. In addition to our personal monitoring and reporting, there are third-party organizations that also monitor (and grade) national campus sustainability efforts.
